What is overLIB
overLIB is a JavaScript library created to enhance websites with small popup information boxes (like tooltips) to help visitors around your website. It can be used to provide the user with information about what will happen when they click on a link as well as navigational help (see the examples below). Not to mention that it looks cool, is stable, and has an active developer community to boot!
What overLIB looks like
Haven't seen overLIB in action? Take a look at these small examples. A plain popup, or perhaps one with a caption. You can also make them stick when you click, plus, you can place any you wish in them. There is lots more you can do like placing them on the other side of the mouse, snapping to a grid, fixating the position (you might need to scroll up to see it), having background images and lots lots more. Just take a look at all the features.
What you may do
This script library was created for my personal use from the start. Then it became popular, so I made a version that's easy to use. Since this is free don't try to sell this solution claiming it is yours. Give credit where credit is due and I'll be happy. And I'd love to see any changes you've done to the code. "Free" to use - don't abuse. Note that the script is not in the public domain. For complete legal details, please read overLIB's License. If you are uncertain about something, please contact Erik Bosrup.

Help out
The best way to support overLIB is to give credit where credit is due. If you use overLIB, please have a small note about this script on the site and link back to this page in case someone else also wants to implement it. Make a contribution to the development through PayPal if you feel like and have the resources to do so. No payment is required or expected, only appreciated. Also if you plan on buying books, software, hardware, music, videos, electronics or pretty much anything else, please do it by clicking on this link. That way overLIB's author will get a small commision from your purchase. There is no extra cost for you and you will buy from the very best online store, Amazon.
